Why get a spare key now?
Most drivers only think about a spare when the last key is gone. By then it costs more and takes longer.
It costs less
Copying a working key is simpler and cheaper than making a new key after every key is lost.
No time off the road
Lose your only key and the car stays parked until a new one is made. A spare gets you moving at once.
Keys wear out
Buttons, batteries and circuit boards fail over time. With a spare, a faulty key is never an emergency.
Family and drivers
A second key for your spouse, driver or the office, so nobody waits for the one key.

Frequently asked questions
How much does a spare car key cost in Kenya?
At Carkey Masters a mechanical key copy starts from KSh 500, a transponder (chip) key from KSh 4,500, a remote key from KSh 5,000 and a smart push-start key from KSh 6,000. Send your car's make, model and year on WhatsApp for your exact price.
Do I need to bring my car to get a spare key?
For chip, remote and smart keys, yes. The new key has to be programmed to your car, so we need the car and your working key. A plain mechanical key for an older car without a chip can be cut from your key alone at our workshop. We can also come to your home or office.
How long does it take to duplicate a car key?
Most spare keys are cut and programmed in 30 minutes to an hour once we are with your car. Some European cars can take longer, and we tell you before we start.
Can you copy a smart or push-start key?
Yes. We program proximity smart keys for push-button start cars, including Toyota, Mazda, Honda, Nissan, Subaru, Land Rover and many European makes.
Will the spare work exactly like my original key?
Yes. The spare locks, unlocks and starts the car just like the original. We test both keys before we hand them over.
Can I buy a spare key online?
Yes. You can find keys by car make in our online shop. We still cut and program every key to your car, so we confirm the details with you first.
